Principal & Administration
Hello Hornsby-Dunlap Community,
It continues to be an absolute honor to serve as the Principal of Hornsby-Dunlap Elementary. Over the past year, our campus has grown in incredible ways—academically, socially, and as a united school community. I’m proud to share that our students, staff, and families have worked hard, supported one another, and celebrated meaningful progress together.
As we step into a new school year, we’re excited to launch our campus theme: Camp HDE – Learn. Lead. Succeed. Exploring new paths every day. Just like a great camp experience, we’re building a community where students feel safe, included, and inspired to take on new challenges. Our goal is for every Hound Dog to grow as a learner and leader while discovering their own path to success.
At HDE, we remain deeply committed to our student-centered approach. Through high-quality instruction, strong relationships, and a spirit of collaboration, we’ll continue to create an environment where all students thrive. You can expect enriching academic experiences, leadership opportunities for students, and meaningful events that bring our families and community together.
Whether you’re joining us for the first time or have been part of the journey for years, I invite you to take part in this exciting adventure with us. We’re charting new trails—and we’re doing it together.
Please feel free to reach out by calling our front office at 512-386-3650. I look forward to another amazing year of learning, growth, and community spirit here at Camp HDE.
Warmly,
Janeigh Jones

Hello! My name is Mamie Ramos, and this is my 13th year with Del Valle ISD. I’ve had the privilege of teaching 4th and 5th grade at Baty Elementary, supporting students as a math interventionist at Gilbert Elementary, and serving as a district math coordinator for two years. This is my second year as Assistant Principal at Hornsby-Dunlap Elementary, and I feel so fortunate to be part of this amazing school community.
I’m passionate about creating a warm, welcoming environment where all students feel successful, supported, and ready to learn. I love working with both students and staff to foster a positive school culture. Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with my family, exploring new places, and finding opportunities to keep learning and growing.
