Principal's Message

Hello Parents and Caregivers,

I am so honored to be named the new Principal of Hornsby-Dunlap Elementary. I come to the Hornsby-Dunlap community with 12 years experience, ranging from Del Valle, to Bastrop, Waco, then coming back to DV. I am thrilled to continue serving children and staff in the wonderful city of Del Valle. The students and staff of HDE have warmly welcomed me in. I have loved walking the halls, speaking to students and getting to know as many Hornsby Hounds as I can. 

This school year I plan to ensure every student is provided enriching experiences throughout the school year. Be ready for some fun community events as well. The goal will always be to help students grow academically and achieve all that they can each year, but I also want to make sure that you and your child have a sense of pride in our community school. We will consistently celebrate those who deserve it, and provide various opportunities for families to participate in school events that bring us together.
